Providing an Individualized Patient Care Plan

CARE AND COORDINATION

Kroger Specialty Infusion’s highly trained pharmacists and nurses will provide initial, ongoing clinical monitoring, and evaluate treatment outcomes. Most importantly our coordination of care is always professional and compassionate.

Ig Therapy

Kroger Specialty Infusion is a Specialized Home Infusion provider for Subcutaneous Immune Globulin (SCIG) and IV Immune Globulin (Ig) for autoimmune and primary immune deficiency diseases. We provide an individualized patient care plan to ensure that each patient achieves an optimal treatment outcome within a safe environment in their home, our infusion suite and in the physicians’ office.

Once we receive a prescription from the patient's physician, our Intake Coordinator obtains the proper authorization/eligibility. Our experienced clinical team will assist the patient by consulting with them to develop an appropriate care plan based on the patient's medical condition, support system, and lifestyle. Our nurse coordinators will work with the patient to schedule their infusion(s). Our infusion nurses are highly skilled and stay with patients for the entire infusion.

Home Enteral Nutrition

Home Enteral Nutrition allows adults and children to receive nutritional daily requirements in the comfort of their home. Adults and children alike must eat in order to live. Some illnesses or surgeries may impair the ingestion of an adequate amount of food to be eaten. Enteral Nutrition or “tube feeding” is one method of providing the nutritional daily requirements via a tube into the stomach or small bowel. Many times enteral nutrition is provided for a short amount of time until the patient can eat on their own.

There are different tubes that can be used for enteral nutrition. The nasogastic or nasoenteral tube can be placed through the nose into the stomach or bowel to provide feedings. The gastrostomy or jejunostomy tube is placed directly through the skin into the stomach or bowel.

Home Inotropic Therapy

Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a complex clinical syndrome that involves structural or functional disorders which impairs the ability of the heart to pump enough blood to meet your body’s needs. Inotropic IV therapy can significantly improve symptoms and help the heart work as efficiently as possible. Our team has over 20 years of experience in home inotropic IV therapy.

Antibiotic Infusion Therapy

Antibiotic Infusion Therapy allows you to receive the medication that you need to fight infection, in the comfort of your home. Infections commonly requiring infusion therapy include those which are unresponsive to oral antibiotics. IV antibiotic therapy is a feasible, safe and cost effective alternative to in-hospital treatment among those with a broad range of infections.

Our clinical staff of pharmacists and nurses work closely with prescribers to monitor lab values to insure the highest possible positive therapeutic outcomes are achieved.

Total Parenteral Nutrition

Parenteral nutrition may be used for adults and children to maintain or improve the patient’s nutritional status. Infants, Children, and Adults require food to live. Some illnesses may impair the ingestion of an adequate amount of food to be eaten. Surgical repair and diseases involving the stomach and bowel, may result in an inability to eat.

Parenteral Nutrition is one means of providing daily nutritional to maintain or improve the patient’s daily intake of essential nutrients intravenously. Many times parenteral nutrition is used for a short amount of time, until the patient can eat normally again.

Other Services

Kroger Specialty Infusion is rapidly becoming a leader in infusion therapy services. Our trusted clinical staff specializes in the management of complex “Traditional” and “Specialty” infusion therapy.
